Urban Planning and Development Institute of the City of Pilsen is an allowance organization set up by the city of Pilsen. Its main task is to prepare documents within the field of planning and urban development.

To the most important documents there belong the Master Plan of the City of Pilsen, the Pilsen Development Programme, regulation plans and urban studies, professional general plans. There is a wide range of activities among which we should also name preparation of complex documentation for revitalization of prefab blocks of flats, recovery of river banks, preparation of new development areas, support of the development of knowledge economics and the presentation of the city of Pilsen as the most suitable place for the localization of investments.

The staff of Urban Planning and Development Institute of the City of Pilsen also supervise some of the development projects of the city from the professional side, such as the exceptionally successful project of the Municipal Industrial Park “Borska pole“. Urban Planning and Development Institute of the City of Pilsen also organizes architectural competitions announced by the city.
